Reflecting on Week 1

It’s already been a few days since the end of week 1 but I have been so overwhelmed with a couple of my other subjects (Maths and Chemistry and that says it all) that I just cannot keep up.  Putting in extra hours this weekend.

I don’t feel as worried because I can see now the learning path supports every step so I am thankful for the structure of the course.  I am loving Diigo however I yet have to explore more of what Diigo has to offer me.  I haven’t been adventurous enough yet.  Don’t know if I like Feedly yet??  I wont give up on it though.

I went to EDC3100 lecture this week and Vicki showed us the SAMR model.  It involves 4 levels of application of ICTs in the classroom – substitution, augmentation, modification and redefinition.  I didn’t think too much of it til I read Charmaine’s blog and realised how useful it is.  Check it out from here!

I will admit I’m on the substitution level but I intend to reach at least modification in PE.  Well that was a hectic week 1.  Feeling better about week 2.  The ball is rolling 🙂
